Privacy Policy MuslimsPay Last updated: 26 August 2026 1. Introduction MuslimsPay ("we", "us", "our") provides a point of sale and business management platform designed for Muslim owned businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (together, the "Service"). We built MuslimsPay around principles of fairness, transparency, and trust, and we try to bring those same principles to how we handle your data. We are not currently certified by an external Sharia advisory board, but we design our data practices with Islamic principles of trust (amanah) and honesty (sidq) in mind, and we intend to pursue formal Sharia governance and certification as the business grows. 2. Information We Collect Account information Name, email address, phone number, business name, and business address when you register. Transaction data Sales records, payment amounts, product and inventory details, and timestamps needed to operate point of sale functionality. Payment information Payment card and bank details are processed by our third party payment partners, including Stripe and regional payment providers such as Safepay, bKash, and Midtrans. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers. Device and usage information Device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns, collected to maintain and improve the Service. Location information Approximate location may be used to support features such as Qibla direction and local prayer times, if you enable this permission. Location is not used for tracking purposes. Optional religious practice data Prayer time preferences, Hijri calendar settings, and Zakat calculation inputs you choose to provide. This information is used only to power the relevant feature and is treated with the same care as any other personal data. 3. How We Use Information We use collected information to: Provide, operate, and maintain the Service Process transactions and payments Provide customer support Send service related communications Improve features, performance, and security Comply with legal and regulatory obligations Detect and prevent fraud We do not sell personal information to third parties. 4. Sharing of Information We share information only in the following circumstances: With payment processors and financial partners needed to complete transactions With cloud infrastructure providers who host our data With professional advisors such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process With your consent Any third party that processes personal data on our behalf is required to protect that data under contractual terms consistent with this Policy. 5. Data Storage and Security Data is stored using industry standard cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we encourage users to protect their own account credentials. 6. International Data Transfers Because MuslimsPay operates across multiple countries, information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including Australia, Singapore, and countries where our payment partners operate. We take steps to ensure such transfers meet applicable data protection standards. 7. Data Retention We retain personal and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute resolution requirements. 8. Your Rights Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. 9. Children's Privacy The Service is intended for business owners and staff who are adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 10. Halal Business Practice Commitment We are committed to conducting our data and business practices in a manner consistent with Islamic ethical principles, including honesty, transparency, and avoidance of deceptive or exploitative practices. We do not currently hold formal Sharia certification for our platform or its financial features. As MuslimsPay grows, we intend to work toward independent Sharia advisory review of our practices, including our fee structure and data handling, and we will update this Policy to reflect any certification achieved. 11. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. 12.
