Investment Thesis

MuslimsPay's mission is to build technology that helps Muslim businesses operate efficiently while remaining aligned with their values - connecting commerce, Islamic tools, and business solutions into one platform. We believe the world's 100 million+ Muslim-owned small businesses are underserved by existing point-of-sale and commerce software, which was built for Western markets and ignores the languages, currencies, and religious obligations of Muslim merchants. MuslimsPay is building the infrastructure layer this segment of the global economy currently lacks.

MuslimsPay's mission is to build technology that helps Muslim businesses operate efficiently while remaining aligned with their values - connecting commerce, Islamic tools and business solutions into one platform.

Market Opportunity

The global Muslim business and digital-payments market represents a significant and largely untapped opportunity. While comprehensive third-party market sizing is still pending verification, the gap in the market is clear from direct observation: Muslim-owned small businesses operate across more than 170 countries - yet mainstream POS providers offer little to no support for the languages, tools, and infrastructure these businesses actually need. There's no native Arabic, Malay, or Urdu interface. No Hijri calendar. Limited currency coverage for the regions where these businesses operate. It gets more fundamental than that. Some of the fastest-growing markets for Muslim commerce - Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria - have unreliable internet connectivity, which rules out most cloud-only POS systems entirely. And no major incumbent - not Square, not Lightspeed, not Shopify POS - offers native Islamic business tools like Zakat calculation or prayer-time integration. MuslimsPay was built to close that gap.

The Platform

MuslimsPay is built on three connected layers 1. Product / Commerce Point of sale, inventory management, invoicing, customer management, loyalty cards, and reporting - built offline-first so that no sale is ever lost, with sync designed for markets where connectivity is inconsistent. Payments are supported via card (Stripe Connect), cash, and QR/bank transfer, with merchant funds settling directly to the merchant's own account. 2. Islamic Tools Prayer times, Qibla direction, mosque finder, Hijri calendar, and a Zakat calculator connected to the merchant's real business data. These are a genuine differentiator, not a marketing feature, they are core to how Muslim merchants think about and run their businesses, and they are built with attention to accuracy and appropriate disclaimers around religious guidance. 3. Business Solutions Tools tailored to different segments of the Muslim commerce ecosystem: independent retail merchants, Islamic organisations (mosques, charities, community groups), and enterprise/multi-location businesses. Together, these layers position MuslimsPay as more than a payments tool, a platform purpose-built around how Muslim businesses actually operate.

Three connected layers: Product/Commerce (payments, POS, inventory, analytics), Islamic Tools (prayer times, Zakat, Qibla - a genuine differentiator, not a marketing feature), and Business Solutions (retail, Islamic organisations, enterprise).

Business Model

MuslimsPay generates revenue through a hybrid model designed with Islamic finance principles in mind, reflecting how Muslim-owned merchants operate and expect to be charged. Subscription tiers Free - Full POS functionality, ad-free for 30 days; a one-time $4.99 payment removes ads permanently thereafter. Starter - $7/month - Ad-free, core tools for growing merchants. Pro - $15/month - Advanced analytics, custom branding, and multi-staff access. Transaction fee - 0.5% Rather than relying on interest-based financing or fixed fees unrelated to merchant performance, MuslimsPay charges a small percentage fee (0.5%) only on completed transactions processed through the platform. This structure ties our revenue directly to real economic activity and shared outcomes with our merchants - we only earn when they do. No interest, no compounding charges, no fees on idle balances or unused features. Sadaqah Jariyah option Merchants can opt to route a portion of their transaction fee toward ongoing charitable giving, turning routine payment processing into a source of continuous good. Local payment rails In markets where Stripe isn't available, we integrate region-specific payment infrastructure (Safepay, bKash, Midtrans, and others), ensuring merchants across Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and beyond have access to the same fee structure and experience.
